  • RF100 and RF200 communication problems

Hi, I am trying to establish communication between RF100 ad RF200 modules, but I have not had success.

The firmware (software version) of the RF100 is 2.4.19 (no encryption), and the firmware of the RF200 is 2.4.36 (no encryption).

Is it possible for these modules to communicate with each other? If so, what am I missing?

Thanks in advance for any help you could provide.

    Best regards,
    Gus

Yes a RF100 can communicate with a RF200 as long as the RF200 does not have its turbo mode ON, RF data rate not set higher than 250Kbps, and encryption is off. There is a bug with encryption being on when the RF100 is running 2.4.19 and the RF200. The RF100 would need to be loaded with 2.4.9 in that case.

Are just upgrade both nodes to its 2.5.x release found in the latest down load of Portal

      Thanks a lot gvoce!
But, how can I set the RF200 in such a way that the turbo mode is not ON and the data rate not higher than 250Kbps?

Thanks again for the help you could provide.

      Best regards.

it is off by default so unless you turned it On then it is OFF

Check the SNAP reference manual for how to turn ON if so desired.
