  • Si1000 in custom designs

If you are using the Si1000 part in your own custom design then please note the following:

Turning off and on the RF part of the Si1000 using rx(False) and rx(True) commands may cause range issues upon restart.

If you are using a custom design and have the antenna polarity reversed when compared to the RF/SM300 module. The register settings flip back to the other polarity after the rx(False) and rx(True) commands in the RF300 build. You can manually poke the registers.

The latest RF/SM300 build will reset the registers correctly.

Use the peekRadio command to peek registers 0x6d, 0x0c, and 0x0d before and after issuing the commands.

Note that Non-Volatile Parameter (NV ID) 64 allows users to define which pins are used related to the RF Tx/Rx process.

See the SNAP Reference Manual for details.
